Change your lipstick shade.
The #1 and easiest and cost effective change you can make for the Spring is updating your lipstick shade. I love watching the runways - lipsticks are making a major comeback and glosses are moving out. There are some wonderful lipstick formulas available (Dalton offers a line of color matched sheer and matte lipsticks). For Spring stay with the pinks and peaches which can carry you into summer and put the neutral, taupe and lighter shades for Fall away. The right Spring lipstick shade can make your lips look fuller (and take attention away from thinning lips and wrinkles that often develop around your lips as you age.) Earth tone lipstick shades also help detract attention away from dark under eye circles.
Don't forget sunscreen
If you've heard it once, you've heard it a hundred times - nothing ages your skin faster than sun damage. You should wear an SPF lotion all year long - and not just rely on the SPF in your moisturizer. Transitioning your eye shadows as Spring approaches
I believe eye shadow should complement your eyes and your skin tone, and while bright colors all over your lids to the brow might look interesting on the fashion magazine models, most of us would rather hues that complement our skin tones and draw out our eyes in a natural looking way.
Natural looking eyes are in and overdone, heavily made up eyes are the stuff of magazine ads. It's easy to create a soft, sultry look - Now is the perfect time to slowly start transitioning into softer taupes, browns and pinks and finally moving into the purples and blues often seen in the summer. Full natural brows are back in a big way
The simple step of grooming brows makes a huge difference in how you look - even if you do nothing else.

Select the right foundation for the season
Cream to powder foundations are perfect for Spring and Summer given the intense heat most of us live through in the summer.
Yellow based foundations are perfect for concealing any summer freckling. In warmer months I recommend choosing a silicone based foundation to help minimize the look of fine lines from too much sun exposure. A little of this foundation goes a long way.
