It's summer, and along with summer fashion, comes summer beauty! This year is all about the natural glow. Creating a fresh face with just the right amount of shine to look like you're on the red carpet. And I'm here to give you the inside tips on what's in style, and how Dalton can help you get the look!
Less is more.
Less is more for the season. You want your face to look like you just spent five minutes applying only the necessities and you were out the door! My pick of the season is Dalton's Fresh Coat Tinted Primer with SPF 20. A pea size amount of this and the next thing you know you're face looks like heaven. In one step you create a flawless finish, give your skin a velvet feel, minimize pores and fine lines, moisturize and add a SPF 20 to keep you safe from the sun. If this wasn't already amazing enough, the primer contains ingredients that combat the signs of aging and calm any inflammations or redness. I know, this sounds way too good to be true but I promise you it's real. It gives you that light weight feel, while evening out your skin tone and adding protection to your skin. I've officially skipped every other step of my regimen, I now go straight to a little bronzer and some mascara and I'm ready to go. Speaking about the bronzer, the search is overÉ We at Dalton have taken every complaint heard and created a product that not only gives great color and coverage, but looks fabulously real!

No more streaking. No more blotchiness. The perfect application of the perfect color. Most bronzers will give you that brown muddy look... that or a shimmery shine. I'm not sure about you, but I tend to think those colors aren't normal when it comes to skin. Don't get me wrong... I love me some shimmer, but when it comes to the faux tan, I want people to think it's real. That's why when creating the color of this bronzer, we added the tiniest amount of red. We did that because when you naturally tan you skin flushes, giving your skin a little bit of a red tint. We also added Golden Pearl Essence to create a small amount of gold sheen. Definitely not shiny, more like glamorous glow. Not only is this great for the face, but even better for the body. There is no transfer and it is long wearing. Coming from someone who loves to bake in the sun, I've traded in my sun bathing days for this product because it looks real, and makes my skin feel ultra soft.
Pair this fresh face with a little bit of blush, light mascara, and a dab of glow and you are ready to go! I suggest Dalton's H2Glo on your cheeks, and a touch in the corners of your eyes to complete the perfect daytime look. To spice it up for the evening, you should focus on one feature. Either do a strong eye or a strong lip, not both. If you want to play up your eyes, use a soft lilac powder as the base and add a deep purple to the crease for emphasis. A bold mascara will also make the light lilac pop and give a little more of a dramatic look. Pair this with a soft blush and nude lips and you're on your way. If you choose to pick your lips, use a red or coral lipstick with a soft matte finish. Gloss is out for the summer, but do dab a little in the middle to make them look fuller. If you really want to make a statement, a deep cranberry lip would pair nicely as long as you make sure the rest of your makeup is at a minimum. Pair this with a light bronzer on your cheeks, a little mascara, and a dab of glow above and below your brow with Dalton's Illuminizing Brightener Wand, and you're ready to hit the town!
